Julie is a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with over ten years experience in Stroke and Aphasia.

Julie works within the Early Supported Discharge Team for Stroke - a team that provides rehabilitation following a recent stroke. She provides specialist treatment for Aphasia, Dysarthria and Dysphagia to people in their own homes, working with their families and the wider team. 

Julie has a range of experience working with clients with Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. She is a certified and trained clinician in Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT) - a voice treatment for Parkinson’s Disease. 

Julie enjoys understanding what is most important to people and supporting them on their stroke recovery journey. She enjoys helping people to progress after stroke to restore their communication confidence.

Qualifications and Training:

• Postgraduate Diploma in Speech & Language Therapy

• Member of The Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists

• Health and Care Professions Council Registered

• Dysphagia Competent

• Member of the British Aphasiology Society Clinical Excellence Network

• LSVT certified
